Storytelling: Writing Flashbacks

Today we are going to talk about the use of flashbacks in our fiction stories. Flashbacks are a common writing technique used by writers of every strip. They can be an effective way to give the reader more information about the character that is relevant to the story. However, there is a good way and a bad way to use flashbacks.

Hello Plot Cafe Fans

You have the right website.

I know it is a little confusing because the web address says DelishFiction.com and not PlotCafe.com but you are, in fact, in the right place.

The Plot Cafe Creative Writing Magazine is dead. Long live The Plot Cafe. Unfortunately, I had some issue crop up over the past few months and I had to switch servers. I was not able to save the hundreds of pages of content posted to the account in its several years of existence.

Since it was clear I had to start over, I figured I might as well go all the way and move the site to a new domain as I started to do last year. Now I’m in the process of determining my content strategy for this site.

It’s going to take awhile to get the site up and running but you better believe it will rise again. Fiction writing is my first love and I’m hungering to get immersed in it again. If you have questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.
